John C. Kane
John C. Kane
has been a Director of INTERxVENTUSA
since 2005. Mr. Kane was
President, Chief Executive Officer
and Director of Cardinal Health (NYSE:CAH)
from 1993 until his retirement from
that company in 2001. From 2000 to
2001, he was also the Vice Chairman
of Cardinal Health.
Mr. Kane began
his career with Abbott Labs in 1973
where he eventually assumed
responsibility for their Puerto
Rican Operations. In 1981, Mr. Kane
became the President of Abbott’s
Chemical and Agricultural Products
Division and in 1989 President of
the Ross Products Division.
In 1993, Mr.
Kane joined Cardinal Health, a $1.8
billion drug wholesale company. When
he retired from Cardinal Health in
2001, the company was a broad-based,
integrated $40+ billion company with
earnings growth of 20% per year.
During his tenure, Mr. Kane was
responsible for a number of
acquisitions and was a major
contributor to the strategy that
took Cardinal from a wholesaler to a
diversified pharmaceutical, medical
device and services company.
