BRENDA S. MITCHELL, PHD 

Brenda S. Mitchell has been  Vice-President, Product Materials of the Company since October 1999 and is responsible for development of employer based programming, evaluation methodologies, participant materials, training materials, and Company publications.  Dr. Mitchell began working with the Company in July 1997 and played a key role in developing the Program's behavior change and intervention kits, which are necessary for the operation of the Programs.  Dr. Mitchell has been an independent corporate health promotion consultant serving clients throughout the United States and internationally.  Her client base included The U.S. Department of Defense (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines), large hospital systems, insurance companies, national voluntary health organizations, medical practices, fitness centers, resorts and spas, pharmaceutical companies, food manufacturers, school systems and universities, publishing companies, exercise equipment manufacturers, and other entities.

From 1984 to 1995, she was Director of the Division of Behavioral Science and Health Promotion at the Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research in Dallas, Texas.  Her professional interests include measurement and evaluation, business planning, curriculum development and technical writing, corporate health promotion programs, and behavior change.  Dr. Mitchell's publication record includes computerized software materials, training manuals, self-help kits, newsletters, manuscripts for scientific publications, and numerous books for lay and professional audiences.  Her most recent trade publication is Fitness After 50, co-authored with Drs. Walter Ettinger and Steven Blair.

Dr. Mitchell received her doctoral degree from The University of North Texas in 1979.
