Board of Directors and Executive Officers
RICHARD
D. SALMON, DDS, MBA
Richard
D. Salmon has
been a Director and the Treasurer of
the Company since October 1999 and
Executive Vice-President, Information
Technology of the Company since May
2000.
Dr. Salmon began working with
the Company in February 1998 as Chief
Operating Officer.
Dr. Salmon is directly
responsible for all Company operations
related to information systems and
technology. Dr. Salmon received his
Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from
The University of Witwatersrand,
Johannesburg, South Africa in 1988.
He graduated with honors in
Pharmacology and received the
prestigious Jan Breyer Award for the
most distinguished student. He
subsequently owned and operated
multiple dental practices in South
Africa until 1993.
From
1993 to 1994, he worked as a Dental
Surgeon in London, England with a
focus on preventive dentistry and
endodontics.
He is a member of the British
Dental Association and General Dental
Council.
From 1995 to 1996, Dr. Salmon
served as a management consultant for
The National Health Service (U.K.)
Northampton Healthcare Trust, England.
He was responsible for the
development and implementation of
numerous projects involving integrated
delivery of primary healthcare
services.
During this time, he was a
member of a team of internal
consultants involved with disease
management and reviews of operational
efficiency.
In 1997, Dr. Salmon completed a
Master of Business Administration
degree at The University of Cambridge,
Judge Institute of Management Studies,
England.
Dr. Salmon is the recipient of
the KPMG / Worshipful Company of
Marketors' Medal for his dissertation
that focused on quality in healthcare
services. He
is also the recipient of the REMEDY
Corporation's award for
entrepreneurship.
In 1997, he relocated to the
United States to join the Company.
