William
(Billy) E. Saxon, Jr.
Billy is a native
Savannahian, graduating Windsor Forest
High (Class of 1983) and completing
the Advanced Degree Program for
Respiratory Therapists at Armstrong
State College (June 1987) as Class
President, completing degree
requirements in December 1990
(Associates of Science, Respiratory
Therapy). After staff positions at St.
Joseph's Hospital (Savannah,
1983-1989) and Candler General
(1989-1992), Billy began traveling the
southeast US as an
Adult-Pediatric-Neonatal critical care
specialist in Cardio-Pulmonary Therapy
for various institutions such as
Shepherd Spinal Clinic and Medical
College of Georgia, before accepting a
position as Lead Therapist at Hilton
Head Hospital. (1994-1997). In 1992,
Billy became the Co-founder of Jeff's Cooking Company
serving as Director / Production Assistant / Co-host of 30 Minute Cooking,
a Cable 7 , Savannah Cablevision
cooking show that culminated in Billy
serving as Creative Consultant for the
production of "Savannah Cuisine", filmed in Savannah,
a series pilot intended for the food
networks gaining popularity at the
time.
Billy's career in
Information Systems began in 1994 with
Premier Computer Training (Savannah,
Ga.) serving in positions as Office
Manager (May 1994), PC Service Tech (Sept
1994), PC Programming (Dec 1994), and Premier
Certified Instructor (May '95). Billy
opened Saxon Hi-Technologies in Sept
1995, providing full-service PC
sales/service/programming/support.
Billy assisted Rick Bowen in
establishing ComputerWorks (Savannah,
Ga.) in March '96. With the increased
popularity of the internet, Billy
changed Saxon Hi-Technologies to BigBilly.Com
in March 1997. After his affiliation
with Comedy House Theatre (Savannah,
Ga.) and subsequent development of a
comedy club marketing management
systems, Billy's clients ranged from West Orange, NJ. to Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Billy's wide range of
Health Care, Business,
Telecommunications, and Information
Systems experiences were integral in
his beginning consulting with INTERxVENT
on the development of the INTERxVENT
Database Management System (IDMS) in
November 1997.
In January 2000, Billy
accepted the position as Director of Information Technologies
(US) with INTERxVENT USA
and continues to serve in that
capacity.
